Here's What I was Thinking

Here is what I was thinking as I put Calder to bed this evening. I turned the lights off and turned on the mobile. Brahms's Lullaby played while small moons and stars danced across the walls. The room was warm and quiet, and Calder slowly drifted off to sleep as he drank his bottle. And I was thinking about the devastation in Haiti and how lucky we are that we are safe and comfortable and have everything we need.
